how many ways do i have to say it
before you will really hear the words there?
if i knew a way to make it all fit
would it be enough to cause you to care?

when i love you wont seem to do the trick
and years of friendship stand like stone in time
unbrakeable, invisible, so thick...
just waiting for some simple magick rhyme

you cause me to want to be something more.
it's something no one else i know can do.
sometimes it knocks me down straight to the floor
and i am overwhelmed with thoughts of you

this passion, this desire, this fire, 
electric like a glowing hot wire

if only i could tell the world in words
just how really great that you truly are..
i'd write a grand song that was sung by birds..
and have them carry it to lands afar..

your beauty would be known to all who hear
across the world and back around again
your name would carry on for years and years
legendary would be your new name then.

but i was just dreaming, of you tonight
 i do almost everyday at this time.
i wish right now, i was holding you tight
and not awake, so late, writing this rhyme.
